SELANGOR, June 30, 2018: Eduspec and SJK C Choong Wen held the school’s 6thRobotics Tournament at the school hall. The tournament started as early as 7:30 a.m. and wrapped up before lunch hour at 11:00 a.m. Headmaster of the school, Wong Shee Fatt, Parents Teachers Association (PTA) Vice Chairman, Mr. Robin, PTA members, and Eduspec General Manager, Mr. Yong Seng Choy, were there to support the event. There were 45 students participating in the tournament and their parents and guests were there to cheer the students on. This year’s theme is Medical Nanobot and students were spilt into groups of three to complete the mission. Participants need to complete the building, testing, and programming their robots within an hour and a half. They then need to complete all the missions on the field track within two minutes.
The main objective of the tournament is to provide a platform and an opportunity for the school’s robotics students to participate and evaluate their capabilities in building and programming on the spot. The students were excited and had fun during the tournament while their parents felt happy to witness their kids demonstrating their capability and resilience in completing the missions. The prize-giving ceremony took place the following Monday during the school’s assembly. There were a total of five prizes awarded for the junior category and three for the senior category. We want to congratulate all participating students for taking on the challenge, thank Lim Man Chuan, project manager of the Robotics team, the robotics team, and everyone who helped make this event a success. We look forward to the next robotics tournament!
