SELANGOR, June 18, 2018: Eduspec held a two-day Fun Teaching Training for 70 education facilitators at SJKC Yuk Chai, Petaling Jaya. Eduspec Manager of Education Services, Zach Tang and STEM Computer Science Master Trainer, Christine Ng, conducted the training. The training aimed to provide a platform for education facilitators to explore different teaching strategies to keep their class fresh, fun, and engaging. Zach Tang said, “The 21st-century education facilitators can play many roles in the course of teaching, and this might facilitate learning. Their ability to carry these out effectively will depend to a large extent on the rapport they establish with their students, and of course, on their own level of knowledge and skills.”
The training also provided an opportunity for education facilitators to learn and practice their presentation skills. At the end of the training, the participants understood a few key takeaways – a 21-st century educator is a lifelong learner and a 21-st century teacher is a facilitator. The student is an active participant that learns by doing. The focus should be on the students – their needs, abilities, and preferences for learning. Finally, it is essential to make learning fun to keep students motivated and engaged. It was a hugely successful training as the teachers were fully engaged and filled with enthusiasm throughout the two days. We want to thank the trainers, the teachers for their participation, and all who helped to make this training such a fruitful one.
