KUALA LUMPUR, June 1, 2018: SJKC Lai Meng and Eduspec held a Robotics Club Tournament for 90 students of the club in the school. The tournament started as early as 6.00 a.m. and then it ended with the prize giving ceremony at about 1.00 p.m. The tournament aimed to expose students to the competitive environment, prepare them for future external competitions, and encourage them to learn from each other. Eduspec Robotics Trainers Teoh Ling Ling, and Phang Ying Jia, alongside the Eduspec Robotics Academy team, were there to manage and coordinate the tournament.
There were two categories in the tournament. Category One consisted of students from primary one to three while Category Two consisted of students in primary four to six. Category One was to complete three missions in two minutes while Category Two was to complete five missions in two minutes. The students worked in a team of three to complete their missions in time. There were altogether five prizes for each category – first, second, and third prize followed by two excellence awards. The school’s Parents and Teachers Association members and Eduspec Senior Manager of Digital School Department, Juan See Feng, attended the tournament and presented the prizes to the winners.
We want to thank the trainers, Robotics Academy team, and school for their fantastic support. We also want to especially thank the students for their enthusiastic participation during the tournament. We look forward to more successful robotic club tournaments in the future with SJK C Lai Meng!
